Library Services

Circulation:

The Victor Free Library is a member of the Pioneer Library System.  To borrow materials you must have a valid OWWL library card.

How do I register for a Library Card?

On your first visit to the Library, bring some identification with your current address. This can be a driver's license, car registration, checkbook, utility bill, etc. We can then issue you a card and you can begin borrowing.

Children as young as five (5) years old can obtain a library card at Victor when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

And remember one card is all you need!  If you have an OWWL card from any library in the Pioneer Library System it can be used in all our libraries.

How long can materials be kept?

At the Victor Free Library, our normal loan period is three (3) weeks.

Exceptions:

Framed Prints: 4 weeks

VHS tapes & DVDs: 1 week

Holiday Books: 1 week

Late Fees:

There is a 20 cent a day fine for late library materials. The maximum fines are as follows:
Adult, Children and Young Adult books: $3.00
Audio books, cassettes, CDs: $3.00
Magazines: $3.00
Video & DVD fines: $1.00/day; $5.00 maximum

After-Hours Book Drop

If the Library is closed when you have a book to return, place it in the book drop at the front entrance of the building. If the item is something that you want to renew you can  renew it by phone or online using your library card and PIN number.  You can call us during regular Library hours to renew by phone. Please have your Library Card and library materials available when you call. Note that we cannot renew materials with reservations on them.

Inter-Library Loan

Items not owned by the Victor Free Library can be borrowed from other libraries.  This can be done by visiting or contacting the library or can be done online using your library card and PIN number.

Reserving Materials

If an item you want to borrow is on loan when you visit the library ask to have it placed on hold for you.  Materials can also be placed on hold over the phone or online using your library card and PIN number.
